A celebration of firsts
It's been big buzz all week. Congrats to the first African American coaches to lead their teams to the Superbowl:
Lovie Smith of the Bears
versus
Tony Dungy of the Indianapolis Colts
...used to feel like a too distant dream. Funny how dreams can come true.

What a great accomplishment for two good guys! I'm ear to ear over here ...
I had not even thought about that, I was so caught up with Vince Young the last few weeks of the season, the heartbreak called My Dallas Cowboys, the heartbreak called My Tennessee Titans, the realization that I no longer liked the New England Patriots, not even a little bit...was quite a shock to me.
Both of these coaches were heading toward the Hall of Fame even without these wins but the Superbowl appearance makes it a lock and the historic significance of the game will make it a NFL Legendary Highlight Film.
Interesting... Colts made the biggest comeback ever in an AFC Championship and earlier this season Vince Young lead the Titans back to beat the Giants after falling behind 21-0 but winning 24-21 making it the biggest comeback by a rookie quarterback.
I'm rambling... I better stop or I'll be going on and on until 4:20
Destined for the Hall of Fame Superbowl coming soon...
Go Colts!!!
BTW - love your banner!
I'd say it's a definite possibility.
*sings* Oh when the sainnnnts gooo marcccchiiing outtttttttttttt....

Hopluv: Thanks so much! And I'm telling you...if Barack wins...I'm gonna wear my Obama for Senate shirt for an entire year. Ok...that was excessive. I will be OVERJOYED.
@ Webcruiser and Nikki: Ok, I gotta tell you, I'd LOVE to see Tony win it.
and go obama! this is so shallow, but i hope he wins just because he'd be the most dashing president in history and have the most adorable family in the white house.

And yes, this all may be a sign of things to come! I'm typically a moderate Republican, but Obama has definitely caught my attention!
I said to my Mom just over the weekend that he's my generation's JFK. Someone for us to believe in.
We could all use more of that!
