Obama on race.
I needed this. My Dad needed this. So many of my friends, needed this. Perhaps you needed this too. Sadly, while I hope some folks are open to the notion of moving forward on the issues of race, I know many are not. But what is life, without hope for something better than what we've always known.
Here, Barack Obama addresses the recent controversies surrounding Jeremiah Wright in my hometown of Philadelphia, PA. I know after this, I'll still hear all the reasons why African Americans vote this way, and Latinos vote that way and White males vote this way, and people wearing green pants vote whatever way. But for today, in this moment, I'm going to bask in the warmth of...what if.
What if we actually considered things beyond color, gender and sexual orientation.
Comments are closed, because I'm in no mood to have that warm feeling altered.
