One Thing Leads To Another.

Three things as you rock out (and you know you're gonna):

1. I think I liked the eighties because you could totally have no sense of rhythm and still look mostly cool.
2. Videos then and now, for the most part, make absolutely no sense.
3. Are those Dobies kissing? Dobermans...the pit bull of the eighties.

I didn't watch a lot of MTV in the 80s, mostly because I didn't have MTV in the 80s. So I missed out on a lot of pop culture. BUT I got into 80s music a lot more after-the-fact, and as a result I ended up liking a lot of songs that I probably wouldn't have otherwise had I been able to see the god-awful music videos that went along with them.

Seriously. This sucks. But I like the song. So I stopped watching it so as not to ruins it. :D

It's so funny that you said that Jay, after I watched the video (I too didn't have MTV) I thought, "this so doesn't exceed the video I had in my mind." LMAO

Interesting because we got Mtv in I think 1982, and I, as a 13 or 14 year old, of course was GLUED to it night and day. It's because of MTV that I even heard a lot of these bands, so the video and the song are tied together permanently for me for a lot of them, awful or not. Total MTV generation (the first kind, anyway....)
