Ten Random Thoughts: Sunday Night Sports

yay Phillies!

I hate football and I have to admit, a sucky Iggles team makes life a little easier for me, not having to hear or feel all the buzz around town. gag. but at least I don't have to hear all about TO on the news anymore...... we all are sneering on the inside about how TO will infect the Cowboys, they can get as cocky as they want. It WILL happen.

Hehehe. I wish you lurved football so I drag you to a game. You fink. But, I still love you. And yes, I choked on my coffee at Iggles. You always manage to make me miss home. Hey, I'll be in town in November around turkey time...*nudge, nudge*

Oh! Oh! please let me know. I would love to meet up with you.

BTW---my dad used to go to every single game. We have had season tickets since they used to play at Franklin-frickin-Field. And STILL I have never been to a game! Been to a million Flyers games, plenty of Phillies games. football was never my favorite, though I liked it a bit for a while (probably around the year they went to the Super Bowl).

I like football! You should not let the haters stop you from sharing your post-Sunday thoughts.

I kinda miss marching band. A little. Da Bears games were fun. Did you know that pro football players are HUGE?!? And they will pick you up and move you if you are unwittingly in their way.

But it still wasn't very nice of them to pick on potters. There are at least 20 different activities they could have chosen - like electrolysis.

You're going to lure me into football, aren't you? I'll actually have to restructure my normal commentary. Durn it... it used to be so easy.
Please...half the reason I grew fond of football was the fact that they could lift and move you out of the way. Appeals to my inner cavegirl. *shakes head pitifully at self*

I am going to try and keep my football rants to IM and talks with my football pals offline...but every once in awhile, it may slip out here. Glad to know there's at least three people that won't be bored to tears. LOLOL.

As the AC guy was outside replacing my unit, I talked his ear off for about an hour. That should tide me over til...tomorrow morning.

Any sports talk from an intelligent female is greatly appreciated.

5 major injuries + 1 great QB = no excuse
Change great to good.

He used to be great.
I hope the AC guy has fixed your household cool for real this time!

I'm trying to figure out how to work 'offsides' into my standard patter to amuse the kiddo during my version of play-by-play. I really do kind of enjoy football (but don't tell anyone!!!)

yay Phillies!

After the Tennessee-Dallas game last year, we were walking around the stadium taking pictures. We saw a crowd and wondered what was happening. It turned out the Cowboys were all there "shooting the breeze" with the fans. Even Jerry Jones stopped his limo and signed autographs, T.O., Romo, J. Jones, Bledsoe, etc. all wearing suits and hanging out with the kids. T.O. was showing kids how to catch a ball and signing autographs I found out they do that in every city after every game. I think that is the reason so many people like them. (We stayed for over an hour after the game and they were still hanging out and playing ball with the kids with no sign of them leaving soon) PR goes a long way and I think the Cowboys franchise perfected the art of public relations.

Sorry for such a long comment. I'm a Titan fan but the Cowboys earned a lot of respect from me that day. I'm sure they are thrilled about that.
