I am NOT gonna write another sad ass mopin' post. That's not a good look for me. I choose to remember a happier time with a smile and appreciation for when things were warmer, sweeter. I choose to celebrate that there was a love. And once upon a time, it was unspeakable in its beauty and intoxication. Once upon a time, when we walked into a room together, we raised the electric current of the area exponentially. We could practically read each others thoughts, and it was undeniable we were together in every sense of the word.
One day, we were emailing each other from our respective home towns, and it became a game to see who would email the other first before a given hour. I sent him an email just as I heard the warm "ding" to alert me of a new mail. I opened it, and we both had done the same thing. We had just purchased this latest Maxwell album, and we were both discussing this track...we quoted the same verse in our email exchange, the same series of lyrics. We quoted them as ones that seemed to define our current thoughts of each other. To anyone else...it would have been "roll your eyes in the back of your head" cheesy (the album was not a critical success). But I bet you, for all eternity...that song will take us back to that time when we were in all ways perfect, complete and completely overstimulated in every way delicious.

Yeah, instead of bitchin about how it ended...I'll accept that, and celebrate how good it was...when it was. It feels better on my skin. If it happened once with someone...it can happen again with another, when it' s time.
